I guess it is their owners who let them know what is on and not on. It is the big boisterous dogs with whom I have difficulty. They may be OK to their owners but they want to take over and the owners seem to want to strut a bit. Well, I think every dog should have his day but not at the expense of others.
On a happier topic, people are pretty understanding about our poos and Jim usually has an old plastic bread bag which does the trick. I prefer Helga's myself but most people have their plastic bags at the ready. At least we don't need a shovel, it must have rather tacky back in the early horse and cart days of the 1900's. And as for elephants in Thailand and India, well I don't want to go there.

Well, that's all for now and at the weekend elections keep Jim and I in mind in B Ward. I am waiting for my next life to stand but I will want friendly, attractive neighbourhood centres which Brookvale could become if the new Council can open their eyes. For starters, the Bus Stop opposite the Warringah Mall is a disgrace and what about some attractive roundabouts, instead of concrete domes which are eyesores. I could go on but I have to attend to some rowdiness in the street.

Regards Harry

Harry's blog extra - Week 1

G'day . . . I'm Harry, a part Bichon Frise (and a few other parts to keep me perky). This is my first dog-blog. My mate Jim saved me some years ago from the Wyong Pound and from then life began to get rosier for everyone, particularly for Jim and his partner, Val.

I have many heroes, most particularly, my mate Bichon Frise, Charlie, in Wigan, England, who took advantage of a fridge door being open and snaffled 20 pies being kept for the 2008 World Pie Eating Championship. Top work, Charlie!! I love my grub too! I have a nose for everything and enjoy my constitutional at 6:30 in the morning before settling in for a bit of house guarding for the rest of the day. I love Warringah, all its parks and trees. If a dog could vote (and we should) I'd put Jim at Number One!

Harry's blog extra - Week 2

I had a few runs down at Thomas Reserve and saw a few of my mates, including the rabbits, down at the western end. There are a few off-leash areas where I can really show my ahtletic skills to Jim and I htink the new Council has to give us more in this respect. It is all very well seeing Chase at the Allambie Heights Newsagency and having a roam around the Shopping Centre (on the lead of course), but there is nothing like open country. All for now and would like to hear from other canines.
